Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
